The Global Sociology minor focuses on social problems from a global perspective. The minor facilitates an understanding of international social problems and prepares students for careers and graduate school in related fields. Students will take half the required courses in the United States and the other half abroad.
The minor is not open to Sociology majors.
Students participating in this minor must enroll in an appropriate study abroad for 9 credit hours.
Students must earn a minimum GPA of at least 2.0 in all courses used to satisfy the minor.
Grades below “C” (2.0) in lower level courses are not accepted.
No more than 3 hours of Independent Study credit can be used toward the minor.
Students must satisfy each course’s prerequisites before enrolling in the class.
