This Civics Teaching Certificate program will provide specialized knowledge in civics teaching in Florida focusing on content, pedagogy, assessment and civics-focused experiential learning which will enhance social studies education, political science, social science and interdisciplinary studies majors. Students pursuing social science teaching certification, including alternative certification, will develop specialized skills to teach civics and government geared toward Florida K-12 instructional requirements. The program is open to all majors.

Certificate Requirements
- A minimum overall 3.0 GPA is required in all courses used to satisfy requirements.
- All 12 credit hours used towards the certificate must be earned at UCF.
