Program Description
The graduate certificate in Conflict Resolution and Analysis provides a deeper understanding of the origins and root causes of conflict. Conflict is rampant in society, ranging from personal and workplace conflicts to global conflicts. Students will learn strategies for managing and resolving interpersonal and community conflicts, which are essential in the community and workplace. This certificate will be attractive to students planning to attend law school, legal professionals, social work, law enforcement, business, education, to name a few.
International students (F or J visa) are required to enroll in a full-time course load of 9 credit hours during the fall and spring semesters. Curriculum
The graduate certificate in Conflict Resolution and Analysis consists of three required courses and two elective courses for a total of 15 credit hours.
Total Credit Hours Required: 15 Credit Hours
Required Courses—6 Credit Hours
Students must satisfy the prerequisites for each course before enrolling in the class.
Electives—6 Credit Hours
Students must satisfy the prerequisites, if any, for each course before enrolling in the class. Choose two of the following courses.
Required Practicum Experience—3 Credit Hours
Students must complete the two required courses (listed above) before enrolling in the practicum experience. In addition, practicum must be taken in the last semester.
Application Requirements
Admission is open to those with a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution. An application to the graduate certificate program and official transcripts must be submitted.
