Anthropology in Multicultural Studies Minor

In an increasingly connected world, a foundation in multicultural studies is more important than ever. This minor allows students to develop a broad and deep understanding of the diversity and interconnectedness of societies around the world in the past and present. Students will be exposed to various cultures around the world in comparative and specialist courses from the perspectives of cultural and archaeological anthropology, including health, environment, governance, policy, and more.


Admission Requirements

  • The minor is not open to Anthropology majors.

Minor Requirements

  • Students must earn a grade of “C” (2.0) or better in all courses used to satisfy the minor.
  • At least 15 hours used in the minor must be earned at UCF within the Department of Anthropology.
  • Only two anthropology courses can overlap for students enrolled in multiple anthropology programs (minors or certificates). (Note: The myKnight Audit cannot capture overlapping courses between two or more programs; therefore, students should have their program reviewed by the department before
    filing for graduation.)

Prerequisite Courses

  • Students must satisfy each course’s prerequisites before enrolling in the class.
