- For degree-seeking students, certificates will be awarded only at time of degree completion.
Prerequisite Courses

Required Courses (3 credit hours)
Elective Courses (9 hours)
Students choose one course in each of the following areas: a) Abrahamic Traditions (3 hours)
b) Asian and Indigenous Traditions (3 hours)
c) Select an upper level REL course not already used above (3 hours)
Additional but related courses may be substituted if appropriate. Students should contact the certificate advisor to determine suitability. Foreign Language Requirements

12 Other Requirements
- A grade of “C” (2.0) or better is required in all courses used to satisfy the certificate.
- At least 9 hours used in the certificate must be earned at UCF within the department.
- Independent Study or Co-op credit cannot be used toward the certificate.
- No credit by exam (TSD, military credit) may be used.
